Heroes of Might and Magic Jump Dash
Might & Magic Heroes (formerly known as Heroes of Might and Magic) is a renowned series of video games that was originally conceptualized and developed by Jon Van Caneghem under the banner of New World Computing. The franchise is part of the larger Might and Magic universe, and has seen shifts in ownership over the years. Originally under the ownership of NWC, the rights to the series passed to 3DO when it acquired the company. Subsequently, the franchise landed in the hands of Ubisoft after 3DO went out of business.
The hallmark of the Might & Magic Heroes games is their turn-based gameplay set in a fantastical realm filled with mythical creatures. The first game in the series was launched in 1995, paving the way for the subsequent releases. The latest installment, Might & Magic Heroes VII, hit the shelves on September 29, 2015.
Following the closure of New World Computing after the production of Heroes of Might and Magic IV, Ubisoft took over the reins of the franchise. The first game developed under Ubisoft's ownership was Heroes of Might and Magic V, created by Nival Interactive. Black Hole Entertainment took over the development for the sequel, Might & Magic Heroes VI, while Limbic Entertainment handled later patches and downloadable content, including the development of Might & Magic Heroes VII. Virtuos was responsible for developing the standalone expansion Shades of Darkness for Heroes VI.
